Enhanced Concealed Carry

This Enhanced MN Permit to Carry class is both a certification course and an applied, dynamic course in the fundamentals of self-defense with a pistol. We will split time between the classroom and learning on the live range. We utilize inert training platforms and live fire to teach holster use, obscured draws, moving and shooting, weapon retention, and threat assessment.

- This class meets the MPPA requirements for obtaining a Permit to Carry in Minnesota.
- This class satisfies the requirement to apply for a Florida out-of-state Permit.
- Firearm Safety, fundamentals, and function of a modern firearm.
- The 5 stages of threat escalation and actions to take.
- Managing the Body Alarm Response (BAR) during a survival situation.
- Legal considerations around reasonable and lethal force laws.
- The fundamentals of defensive and dynamic shooting from contact distance to 15 feet.
- Decision-making in a high-stress environment.
- The aftermath of an incident, what to do, and what to expect when EMS/LEO arrives.
- Defending your home – legal considerations and suggested practices for defending you and your loved ones
- Considerations for choosing a handgun, gear, etc.
- Course Certificate is issued upon successful completion of the course.
What Should I Bring?
(Classroom)
- A teachable, coachable mindset and a positive attitude.
- Note-taking material/device.
- Snacks or beverages are optional (fridge is available for use on-site).
(OUTDOOR LIVE range)
- Modern, fully operational handgun (9mm firearm rental is $20.00 if you do not own one.)
- 2 working magazines
- 50 rounds of ammunition (no ammunition for sale on-site)
- Ear and Eye protection.
- Appropriate clothing suited to dynamic activity on an outdoor range.
