This course was created to help you make better decisions more quickly, and take decisive action when a safe escape from a threat is not an immediate option.
Description
Building your Foundation and Threat Response Action Plan (TRAP).
- How to ingrain skills to subconscious mastery for recall under stress through the power of Play.
- Firearms function, takedown, holsters, belts, lights and gear – (IFAK, blades, pens, EDC)
- Integrating a holster – 5 stages of draw and 3 ranges of presentation and retention.
- Shooting from behind cover, Shooting from positions (seated, ground, on back, sides)
- Going to the ground and getting up (how to Fall and how to get up with weapons)
- Low Light decision making and considerations for crowded environments.
Personal Protection Principles:
- Balance – keep yours, take theirs.
- Movement – if you are not moving, you should be.
- “Control the Head, Dominate the Throat”
- Anatomy – How we strike, and where we attack vulnerabilities that create an injury.
- The violence of Action and overwhelming forward pressure principle.
- Managing your body alarm response (BAR) using the physiological sigh, experience, and exposures.
- Mindset – The Prey-to-Predator Switch for surviving an attack.
